GCA is committed to preserving Goan culture while supporting those in need. Through cultural events, food banks, and charitable initiatives, we foster unity and give back to the community. Our mission is simple: bring people together, honor traditions, and make a lasting impact.
In the heart of Aberdeen, a group of passionate individuals came together with a shared vision—to keep the spirit of Goa alive, even miles away from its shores. Thus, in 2022, the Goan Community Aberdeen (GCA) was born. What started as a simple idea soon flourished into a thriving non-profit organization, dedicated to preserving and celebrating Goa’s rich cultural heritage.
GCA is more than just an organization; it is a home away from home for Goans and those who cherish their traditions. It is a place where people from different backgrounds unite, bound by a love for Goan culture, music, dance, and values. Through cultural events, fundraisers, and outreach programs, GCA creates an inclusive space where individuals can connect, share stories, and pass on traditions to future generations.
But GCA’s mission extends beyond cultural celebrations. As a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), it is committed to making a real difference—supporting charitable causes both locally and globally. Whether it’s helping those in need, organizing food drives, or contributing to community welfare, GCA stands as a beacon of generosity and unity.
Every event, every gathering, and every initiative is a step towards a stronger, more connected community. And at the heart of it all are the people who make it possible—people like you. Your support, your participation, and your passion keep Goan traditions alive while creating a lasting impact on the community.
Together, we celebrate. Together, we make a difference. Welcome to Goan Community Aberdeen.

Looking to the future, GCA continues to focus on inspiring the next generation to appreciate Goan culture, traditions, and values. Our vision is to grow the community and ensure that our cultural legacy is passed down for years to come, while always making a positive impact on those around us.
